The work consists on consultancy in the areas of urban hydraulics and modeling and aims to develop hydraulic models and assess the capacity of the Surface and Groundwater drainage networks (SGWN) and facilities and wastewater networks (WWN) and facilities within Doha South area, according to the Qatar South framework contract - a 10 years operation contract which was awarded to the Client (Metito). It also aims at creating operational procedures to optimise systems performance and identify bottlenecks, proposing corrective measures – infrastructural corrective measures, or other.
The scope of the works include mainly: • Data gathering and management (GIS, topography, operational data, etc) • Engineering assessments and systems optimization • Modeling and model calibration. The models will later be used as the basis for a unified Flood management and Networks Monitoring system which will include all framework areas – South, West and North. For that, a set of unified scenarios will be developed and tested.
